She said that when the family was living in New Jersey, my great-grandma was able to walk down the street, looking at the dresses in the shop windows and get inspiration, then go home and make that dress that she had seen.
I enjoy sewing more because of this story. My grandpa (her son) sold Singer Sewing machines door to door as one of his jobs. He would teach people how the machines worked and how to sew a little with their machines after they purchased.
He also taught me to sew. I am grateful these days that I am able to sew and learn more every day about how I can sew better, more efficiently, etc.

While this special little one is a lovely addition into our family, she's also my sidekick. Many times, helping me retrieve fabric and items from the elves and keeping the pixies away from me. Those stinkers love tugging on my hair.
But this lovely gal keeps them away on our adventures.

One of my fondest memories with my family is spending a weekend participating in a reenactment and enjoying the people, the stories, and seeing each other in person. Hopefully, we will get to go to some events this year!
]]>While I've had hardly any time on my hands, with family, work, and creating magical items for all of you, I love taking photos when I get the rare chance. These are some of my favorites from last summer.
The vibrancy in these just makes my heart smile.
]]>What I've found for myself, is that... this is my DREAM. This is my HOPE. This is my WHY.
I want to be able to make magic items to share with the world and make someone smile. I want to see my products out there being worn with a smile. That they bring a bit of happiness to your day.
I want to be able to do all the things with my family without the stress of a corporate job.
I have so many goals and can't wait to see my vision for my business and life come to light. I can picture it all in my head, what the business will look like and I am excited!
I started being able to clear my head more, and see my vision more when I started decluttering my own stuff in earnest this year. I signed up for a course with a well-known minimalist, and here we are today. My journey is not done, but my goals are outlined here. We've been working on getting out of debt for a LONG time now. What are some of your goals, small, or big?
